An unsteady MHD free connect ive flow with Hall current of an electrically conducting incompressible viscous fluid past an impulsively started infinite, vertical porous plate in the presence of a strong transverse magnetic field is studied. The plate temperature is considered to oscil late in time about a constant mean. Hall currents give rise to a cross flow making the flow three-dimensional. Approximate solutions to the coupled non-linear equations occurring in the problem have been obtained. The effects of the various parameters on the mean flow and transient flow have been discussed with the help of tables and graphs.
